Idk about the PS Pro, but performance on a PS4 slim is simply really good and very stable. Sure, you only get 1080p and 30fps, but if you're not used to anything better, that doesn't really matter (and the PRO has more options on that i recon). That said, I think I actually hate the dialogue in this game. The best description I can give is that it seems like the writers thought they were writing for a James Gunn Joss Whedon movie. The purely dramatic scenes are alright or even good (Thor and Odin's introductions were spectacular, for example) but almost all of the dialogue involving God of War Ragnarok size is around 90GB on PS4. 30 GB of Thor + 60 GB of gameplay. Thirty Gigs of Thor would be a sick name for a Norwegian techno-metal album. But they'd have to stop after Thirty Gigs no matter what.
FF7 and Zelda link to the past were my 2 favorite games of all time for years and years until I got hit with a 5 hit combo of the Breath of the wild, PS4 spiderman, God of War, horizon and then Elden Ring. God damn have we had a bunch of good titles in the last few years.
I'm not sure what ragnarok calls it, I haven't played the game yet. But it should be two separate modes on the PlayStation pro. Performance and resolution. Performance downs the resolution of your screen if you're playing on 4k or 1440p, and upscales the texture quality at the cost of lighting, edge, and shadow quality.
Don’t, if gmgow in ragnarok is anything like 2018. It will be hell. Enemies take like 20 hits or more to kill early game and they have a power up and healing mechanic if you stop attacking them for too long. Give me a challenge is the perfect first run difficultly and gmgow is a good challenge for ng+. It’s not.
Fans do know that God of War Ragnarok releases next year, that God of War is coming to PC, and that should be enough for now. God of War Ragnarok releases on PS4 and PS5 in 2022. Also, the game is phenomenal but since it’s a direct sequel it’s not so revolutionary. It is spectacular for what they can do with a ps4, especially compared to some much weaker games that failed to run on ps4 (cyberpunk). 2018 was also huge just because the engine is soooo good. The axe felt so amazing, unlike any weapon in a game before imo.
